Robi Domingo And Nicole Uysiuseng: The Next Hot Teen Love Team?

In the ABS-CBN Christmas Special at the Araneta Coliseum, Robi Domingo and Nicole Uysiuseng performed alongside the country’s most famous onscreen couples including that the tandems of Kristine Hermosa-Jericho Rosales, Bea Alonzo-John Lloyd Cruz, Anne Curtis-Sam Milby, Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson, and Melissa Ricks-Matt Evans. This appearance was not lost on Robicole devotees who cheered for their favorite couple alongside other fans.

When ABS-CBN.com caught up with pretty Cebuana Nicole after their production number, she expressed how thrilled she was by the whole experience. “First I was really kinakabahan kasi there was a lot of people na naman (reminiscent of her Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus Big Night experience). Pero once I got there and I walked the stage with Robi, I was really excited. It's like our first time to perform as a love team in this big place so it was really exciting. It's also masaya kasi people applauded. At the same time, I am very flattered na sinama nila kami ni Robi with the other love teams like Kimerald, Echo-Tin, Sam-Anne, John Lloyd-Bea…They’re all up there already. It’s really exciting to get to work with them,” she enthused.

In spite of their much-applauded performance at the Big Dome, Nicole still refused to confirm if people would see more of her team-up with Robi by next year. “I don’t know yet. I am really not sure kung Robi-Nicole na talaga yung official pair up,” she eluded. Given a chance though, she claimed that she would love to be paired with the dashing MYX VJ. “Yeah it’s okay because Robi and I are really good friends. Kapag nagtatatrabaho kami it just comes natural na [kasi] we’re super close already [and] we're comfortable with each other.” As it is, Nicole said she’ll be ready for whatever Star Magic management has in store for her and Robi. “I trust Star Magic naman and I trust ABS-CBN. So if yun talaga yung tingin nila is best for both of us, then go,” she offered.

What happens then to their fellow ex-housemate Josef Elizalde with whom she had a rumored mutual understanding with since PBB? Is he still courting her? “Me and Josef are still friends hanggang ngayon pero kasi he has studies, ganon. We’re concentrating on our careers and he has his studies to think about also so huwag muna,” she simply stated. Nicole also clarified that they have no hard feelings even if things didn’t work out between them. “Yeah okay lang. We’re still friends now and I understand din naman na he's busy. And we don’t really see each other that much kasi, as I’ve said, he has school everyday, so it’s okay,” she reiterated.

As for her, she would like to focus first on preparing herself for whatever opportunities will come knocking on her door. “Right now Robi and I are just taking it slow. We’re concentrating on [improving] our craft [ako sa] acting, si Robi naman sa hosting. So hindi pa namin alam [kung matutuloy na ipareha kami] pero sana ganun yung maging outcome,” she noted.
