Ron Morales: Ayokong Makilala As Nagbi-Brief Lang

Having started in the business as runner-up in Bench’s model search last year, Ron Morales is known in showbiz for his good physique and endorsement of Bench’s underwear line. However, Ron is now working on a more wholesome image by taking on roles that will show off his talent in acting.

Ron’s first big break on TV was his role as a secret agent on Palos.He is now a part of Dyosa’s cast as a demon who was banished by his kind. "Tinaboy ako ng mga kasamahan ko dahil pasaway ako. Nakikihalubilo ako sa mga tao. Pero hindi naman actually sobrang kontrabida kasi light naman ang Dyosa," Ron said. He said that he’s very comfortable with the cast and crew of the said fantaserye because they are very easy to work with.


Ron Morales also revealed that he has just finished shooting for a period film, set during the Japanese regime in the country. "Gumawa kami ng indie movie in Vigan about the World War II," Ron related. "Gerilya ako dito. Parang nagwewelga kami noon dahil may mga sumasakop na Japanese sa bansa. Ako 'yung nag-traydor sa kaibigan ko, doon nag-turn ang events." The indi movie also stars Kaye Abad and Ping Medina. Ron revealed that the movie is slated for a January 2009 release and it is very memorable to him, it being his first indie movie.

More than anything else, Ron is happy that he is able to prove that he has something to offer other than his sexy body. “Ayoko kasing makilala as nagbi-brief lang 'yan, nagta-trunks lang," he shared. "Parang gusto ko naman medyo mag-iba ang tingin sa akin. Parang new character. Comfortable naman ako kapag nagpi-pictorial kami ng naka-underwear, 'yun nga lang mas gusto ko maiba naman. Wholesome image naman." He shared that what worries him is that people might typecast him as merely a model but Ron Morales is hopeful that his efforts won't go to waste.

"Medyo mahirap kasi iisipin ng iba, mas bagay sa iyo 'yung ganyan-ganyan. Pero gusto ko pa ring i-try 'yung iba. Hindi lang naman ako puro paghuhubad, eh. May iba pa akong ipapakita pagdating sa acting.”
