TV5 is Number 3!
In its first week of airing, TV5 has become the No. 3 channel nationwide. This is according to the AGB Nielsen Media Research data on National Urban Television Audience Measurement.
“We know it’s just the first week and this is not yet a trend, but we are just so grateful that people are giving us a chance and supporting us. Thank you to all our viewers. We shall work harder to continue offering our viewers fresh, relevant, and innovative content,” said Christopher Sy, TV5 Chief Executive Officer.
TV5 is challenging the industry norm by presenting a different program every night. The promising line-up of captivating new shows with its diverse genres has clicked with the Filipino TV audience. The programming blocks which include Reality, Drama, Variety, Teens & Toons, and Movies are a welcome change from the nightly dose of soap operas and endless dramas on TV.
TV5 is a collaboration between MPB Primedia and Tony Cojuangco’s Associated Broadcasting Company. Primedia has entered into a long-term block airtime agreement with ABC.
