Synopsis:
SARAH is 30 years old. She is intelligent and quite capable, but jobless because she can never get down to actually getting things done. She and boyfriend Melvin have lived together ever since senior year, when Sarah took him in after he lost all his money in a pool game. The story begins with Melvin passing his CPA exams, and coming home to tell Sarah that he has found his true love while he was away.
After she gets dumped by her boyfriend, Sarah sets out to find the woman who stole his heart, Melissa. While at the cosmetic company Melissa works in, an ad for a sales clerk catches her eye. She fakes being her 20 year old little sister, and starts working as a sales clerk at the company, determined to find out more about Melissa and to win Melvin back.
At work, she meets Denis, a former soccer player who is your typical arrogant jock. Denis is actually the son of the vice president of the company, and is only working at his mother’s company because he needs the money for the hospital bills of a kid named Bong Chang. Sarah and Denis’ personalities clash, and the two always get into fights. Eventually, Sarah and Denis start falling for each other. Sarah also finds out that Denis is in love with Melissa, the very woman who stole her ex-boyfriend Melvin’s heart.
It turns out that Melissa is actually in love with Denis, but was already involved in an affair with In Chang, Denis’ older brother. When In Chang found out about Melissa’s feelings towards his younger brother, he drives off in anger and dies in a car accident. Wracked with guilt, Melissa gets into a relationship with Melvin simply because she wanted somebody “safe” to love. When Melvin finds out about this, he is heartbroken and his relationship with Melissa comes to an end. When Sarah learns about this, she finds that winning Melvin back isn’t exactly what she wanted anymore…
