Marian Rivera is expected to propel's GMA7's slumping TV ratings via her TV series “Narda or Darna.” I think this will be a surefire hit because in the entertainment industry, especially here in the Philippines, s3x sells, period. Marian Rivera’s costume in the series will be a major selling point. In fact in the times that Darna has been made & remade featuring any Filipina star, it has always been a hit. Except that flop, Darna movie of Rio Locsin of course.



Angel Locsin, the last Darna before Marian Rivera, basically launched Angel Locsin to stardom. So far, Marian Rivera has starred in remakes from Marimar, Dyesebel, and Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang & now Darna. “Narda/Darna” will premiere this August 2009 with Mark Anthony Fernandez as her beau.
