STIR stands by it’s story that Wowowee main host Willie Revillame has been suspended by the ABS-CBN management contrary to the network’s official explanation by way of TV Patrol World that he has taken an “indefinite leave.”
There’s a new spin to the Willie Revillame smear campaign, the wife of a certain guy blaming Willie of destroying her family for linking her husband with a Wowowee dancer. Allegedly due to the disclosure, Willie Revillame distressed the couple’s children.
Why the anti-Willie Revillame smear campaign does not end even if Cory Aquino siblings Pinky, Ballsy, Viel, Kris and Noynoy have all expressed they have accepted his apology. They know Cory’s fondness for Willie who regularly greeted her and grandchildren Joshua and James, Jr. in his show to cheer them up.
Kris stated in last night’s SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon), “We are not MTRCB; we are not KBP; we are not ABS-CBN; We are the Aquino family. We take Willie’s apology for what it is, an apology. And we accept the apology.”
Noynoy has made a similar statement on national television.
Who wants Willie Revillame ousted from Wowowee or sanctioned for the unintended insult?
For sure, they are not the lolas & lolas and physically challenged persons who Willie Revillame regularly sings to, give roses, and gifts like a CD or a Wowowee jacket; not the marginalized children he helps out and who he has put up the Will Foundation; the countless people he helps out without even naming them; not the distressed OFWs he helped to return home; not The Filipino Channel subscribers to has made Wowowee a must-visit stopover whenever they’re in the country.
STIR thinks they are his competitors; accusers who lost court cases against, found to be without merits; government do-gooders out to grab pogi or pa-cute points; entertainment writers who want money from him; and, as STIR strongly suspects, the political enemies of Senators Manny Villar and/or Mar Roxas who he supports in their presidential bids orchestrated by a notorious public relations man.
What’s the effect on Willie Revillame and Wowowee? A disgruntled Willie and Wowowee’s rating sliding down.
It’s happening all over again! Willie Revillame’s absence in the show last Saturday, 8 August, ABS-CBN’s noontime show dipped to 23.6% from an average of 25% in the TNS national survey. Who is benefiting? For sure, Eat...Bulaga! Its ratings increased to 20.5%, from an average of 16.5%. Now that’s a strong reason Joey de Leon insists of taking a part in the issue in which he has absolutely nothing to do!
Willie just takes them in stride as he knows they will go away...until he gives up or overtaken by the wave of events.
i think the aquino family does not have any choice but to forgive willie, if only for friendship sake. his approach really is unforgivable. it is a poignant disrespect of their mom - he is very cocky and very insensitive.
what most people want – is for willie to be replaced with a much better host. abscbn has a so many great and talented tv hosts in their roster – willie has done a lot of boboo already – isn’t it high time for him to be replaced by a host who can deliver with candor, etiquette and who would not continuously commit the errors and mistakes he had done and will be doing in the future.

It's hard to downplay the incident and look for extenuating circumstances to exonerate the action of Mr. Revillame. The tone and direction his voice spoke volume. An entertainer of his kind with millions of followings should deal with the situation kindly, gently, patienty, and tacfully. What is one show and earnings lost in deference to a leader whose contribution to the country's normalcy and sanity was monumental and far- reaching. Were it not for Cory, will there be a moneyed Willy today?
dangerous to trust the whole show to just one person
is he that indespensable n powerful? that whatever he wants, he gets!
we deserve to have a more decent, a more respectful, a more professional host!
he represents not just the whole show or station, but the entire country!
can't the station develop or produce a more sensitive host, sensitive to the feelings and sensibilities of everyone!
we just deserve someone better than the likes of willie!

Willie Revillame has arrogantly solely owned the success of the Wowowee, he must remember the REAL reason why people flock and even risk dying just to get in this show... the REAL reason is many of these people is in dire need of money. And WIllie must remember the money comes from the show and the sponsors, he is just the host. Let somebody else host the show and give away the same amount of money or the chance to have it, THEY WILL STILL COME and WATCH, people will still support the show. Willie has been blessed with tons of graces and he does not know how to graciously use them. We look forward for Willie to again put his feet back unto earth before he gets laid under 3 feet of it.

i read all about this issue in other websites and also watch in youtube the incident "yong pagmura niya ON AIR, grabe at bastos na HOST ang taong ito". i don't know why ABS CBN is keeping him can't replace this guy "at marami naman magaling diyan at may talent"...just because of money it brings to ABS CBN and making this guy "lalo lang maging mayabang at lalaki ang ulo". it's time for ABS CBN to discipline him by removing him in the show "at para hindi mapintasan ang management ng ABS CBN dahil ito ang kasiraan ng lahat kung may isang bulok kayo.

Wowowee is a great show. Maraming napapasayang OFWs. Noone's perfect at minsan nagkakamali tayo. I just hope it will be a learning experience to Willie. I'm sure when Willie returns to his show, we'll see a new him.. better and wiser host.

well for me..willie is a good host..he is natural..he can make thousand faces to laugh..and all..but the problem is he needs to control his temper.being arrogant isnt good at all specially if thousands of people is watching your show..and its not also good to say unpleasant words..to your staffs..you are like one team..so willie must know how to take care of his staffs..treat them well..because they are one of the most important people why the show is successful
