Brazilian-Japanese model Akihiro Sato tries acting via Cinemalaya Film Festival NETPAC Award entry Handumanan.

He plays the role of a model searching for his Filipino mother but instead found romance with a novel writer played by Chin Chin Gutierrez. Akihiro Sato plans to stay here in the Philippines for good. “I look more Filipino than being Japanese or Brazilian. That’s why I love here. And I have my ID already, I’m a dual citizen now and I’ll stay here for good.” he said.
