Villa Estrella Earns P21.5 Million on its 1st Week in Mega Manila
The Star Cinema horror movie Villa Estrella debuted at no. 3 at the box-office.
Capturing the top spot for the second week in a row is the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, who happens to be the biggest movie of the year so far. Transformers raked in P289.7 million on its second week in Mega Manila alone. Nationwide, it has surpassed the P300 million mark making it the biggest movie in Philippine box-office for the year and the 2nd biggest movie in the Philippines for all time (next to Spider Man 3).
Debuting at no. 2 in Mega Manila box office is Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The animated feature has grossed P36.6 million on its first weekend run.
The local horror movie Villa Estrella is at no. 3 with its first weekend gross of P21.5 million in Mega Manila.
